Upgrading the braking system, need advice please

I have a 1983 C10, I want to replace the front rotors and calipers with an upgrade.

 

The truck is a daily driver, but I want to bring the truck up to todays standards.

 

Does anyone recommend a particular brand or type of rotor/caliper?
