Looks good. I dont get into the whole christmas light thing. After the tree Im fed up with decorating.

Mine are still in the box. I used to do the house up real nice, but after a couple years of fighting cheap crappy lights in freezing cold temperatures, I quit. No lights for about 3 or 4 years now. The wife has put HUGE pressure on me to put them up again. For now, I have 4 boxes of lights......still in the box!

 

Maybe tomorrow. *sigh*

I got mine up today. They all worked when I plugged them in before I put them up and now that they are up and it is dark some are not working. I give up.

My trick around this is simple. I power up all the lights whilst I am putting them up. That way you know as soon as a bulb gets loose, or a plug comes out. Also you get an idea of what it all looks like whilst you are doing it.

 

It also avoids Clarks problem of the mother in law unplugging the main power.

 

PS the way I first worked this out was that it was getting late in the year and I knew I wouldn't have time on the weekend, so I had to put the lights up at night, and needed light to see what I was doing. Since then its how I always do it.
