Car is beautiful. I love the old school GM seat belt buckles. Nice touch. I kinda question the no driverside airbag in the wheel though. Seems like that is gonna hurt its safety ratings. 2009...thats just in time for my graduation. Maybe I'll treat myself to a 2009 Z/28 convertable. I think on the Z and SS they should replace the bowtie on the back and front with the Z28 logos like they used to. That'd be sweet.

I love the coupe and if able at the time, I will probly go that route. I am hoping for some serious power from a Z28 or SS option. Silver or Black with opposite stripes are my first choice. The interior looks great though and I agree, the retro look is awesome. Hopefully the interior quality is a ton better than the Mustang. While it looks great, it is very cheap and "plasticy" hopefully the Camaro will be of better quality. I think GM has hit a home run with this design though.

Yea...my ol' man has an 01' Z/28 so I spend a little time over on the Camaro forum. Those guys were talking that GM is supposed to be going with a 6.2L LS3 motor for the base Corvette and Z/28. I think they said something like 450hp. I dunno that this is true or not and I kinda don't think so.

 

They got it from an interview with Steve Saleen who is gonna be doing a package for both the Corvette and the Camaro in 2009. Read it here..

EDIT - I can't find the Saleen interview..but that link talks about new motor and new Vette options. I dunno how much of it is true. I kinda don't see GM tossing the new engine (LS2) that soon. I expect Vette, Z/28 and GTO to all be LS2s.
