Thinking about a Titan?

I don't like the way they look plain and simple.

My truck is 8 years old, and i dont have half the problems these people have with a truck that at its oldest, is only 3 years old.

Rear differentials burning up? bed rattle? What a disgrace! Nissan should stick to their mini pickups. They obviously cant make a man's truck.

I see the commercials on TV. "They came with this...you asked for this" as they show an obvious 5-bolt front rotor, and then slam on the table a six-bolt rotor. Any retard who didnt know about trucks would say "hey, that is an improvement" ...when in fact, all Silverados COME with the rotors that big.

I love when they show the commercial about the rear ring differential gear. The one they're comparing it to cant be more than a 2.73, and they throw a 4.56 on the table.

Who the hell do you think you're kidding Nissan?

Your trucks suck :fume:

Your company is foreign :D

We dont want you!

So kiss our flag wearing American asses! :loser::flag::fume::fume:

Those guys are full of s**t. I was reading the racing forum on there, and this guy claims to beat a 4 door 2wd hemi by 7-8 truck lengths in his 4x4 titan...

Theres also a guy on there with a Ram (why he's on titantalk I dont know) who has a Airraid MIT, Magnaflow muffler, and a chip in a reg cab 2wd hemi, and claims to run 0-60 in 5.7 with a 1/4 ET of 14.31...Thats really beleiveable.

On subject, Titans are fugly, esp. the 4 doors with short beds. Get a side shot of one of them bad boys, looks like a joke. Has a monster of a cab with a bed that fits a Ford Ranger :D

So nobody gets to big of a head.

Unfortunately the search was limited to the first 1000 posts.

When you sell WELL over A MILLION trucks per year (including 'hoes and 'burbs and their GMC counterparts) problems are to be expected. Especially since a lot of the "problems" posts are about the same two things over and over... and over again and a lot of the trucks are 5 or 6 years old. Nissan sells less than 100K per year and have only been out for a few years

I like on the commercial showing the front end of the Titan, bouncing over bumps, and the bumper bouncing all over the place, looks like it's about to fall off. I don't see any bumper shaking on any other manufacturers commercials.

Wasn't that commercial for the new Tundra?

I considered a Nissan Titan before I bought the Silverado. I owned a compact Nissan 4X4 V6 extended cab small pickup for ten years and it was a very solid, well built truck.

Titan has a good engine and well shifting 5 speed automatic, but there are numerous issues with brakes (supposedly fixed), rear differentials (supposedly fixed), interior trim quality, and overall built quality. And fuel economy is worse than that of a similar body style 5.3 engine Silverado. Also, a crew cab Sivlerado 1500 has a bed that's about 8 inches longer that that of Titan.

One thing I like about Titan is that they provide a factory transmission oil temperature gauge and trailer tow mirrors, as well as lower differential gearing with the factory tow package. With GM 1500 series trucks, you must buy all these items separately, and you cannot get a factory transmission oil temp gauge.

And the horizontal power sliding window on SE and LE models is definitely nice. I wish GM would offer one like that.

I do not know about the temperature gauge, but the only power sliding rear window GM offers is an optional small horizontal slider, just like Dodge offers (no defroster on this one). Titan and Tundra have a vertical sliding rear window with the defroster grid built-in. Nissan Titan's sliding window is a large central section, whereas the entire window on the Tundra slides up and down (also equipped with a defroster).

Furthermore, the power sliding window is standard on Nissan Titan SE and LE and Toyota Tundra SR5 and Limited. It is optional on Silverados and Sierras, as well as Dodge trucks.

I wish GM would have picked the best feature of every truck out there when they came out with the new body style. Alas, that never happens.

I know someone with a Titan. Thay claim 8mpg intown/highway. Thay also claim 6mpg pulling a trailer. HA! The Sierra gets 19+ and 16+ while pulling a trailer.

Another friend has a Ram 15004wd and it gets 11mpg intown/highway, less pulling his trailer.

In todays world, MPG is a big seller with the price of oil as it is.
