So far exhaust wise i just replaced the stock muffler with a 40 series single in dual out and dumped them, it has a nice tone but not loud enough...Just an idea but how much money am i looking at to give each cat its own dynomax bullet and dumping them, not nessiceraly the price including the mufflers just the piping. Also whats the guess on the sound it would produce?

well dumping a si/do isn't the best way to go, dual outs are meant to have tips ran all the way to the back. si/so is good to dump and would be louder.

as for your other guestion, are you saying your going to have dynomax bullets dumped with true duals? that will be very loud. true dual is the best design to go with.

Plan at first wasnt to dump my 40 series but something got in the way of going all the way to the back and it was at a local shop i think i paid 110 for the muffler, piping, and labor so wasnt all concerned. Wanting to do dumped bullets with true duals but looking for a price range

I'm guessing it will be at least $250.

... and yeah, it'll be LOUD and sound f'in awesome!

Small town in CA? I thought it was illegal to mess with the exhaust or especially run true duals, but the pigs might and it will be LOUD but sound sweet. Also after a while glass packs blow out and will make your truck sound like some 83 cargo van but wont cost much to replace. Probably looking at 300-350 (with mufflers) on how quality of a job.

Stoped by the shop today and he told me if i buy the bullets hed do it all for 165, so i think ima end up doing it and cutting the pipes off somewhere under bed, i just dont know if i sould dump them or not does it really make a difference on a lifted truck or does ground clearance have anything to do with it?

Dumping your exhaust causes the sound waves to reverberate on the road, instead of just dissipate in the air, basically causing a totally different and louder sound.

I don't know how much you know about physics, but the quick and dirty of sound is like this, when sound waves travel and hit a solid object they reflect back, Some waves will cancel out each other while others will add to each other up and can be up to twice as loud.

I'd say try it...if you don't like it, just pull the dump off and go with a "tail pipe".

When I lived in S.Cali (Littlerock/Palmdale) and made my Camaro dual exhaust 3" and I put Terminators in for my mufflers and I had headers (BTW what is that thing they call a Cat.? just j/k I know what they are). I was pulled over only once by the cops, they made mention of my exhaust (to tighten it up) but I replied it was all welded up (not at the headers) and nothing was said more about it.

Yea, you also want to remember you have a lifted truck so dumping with a bullet will not be as loud as a stock truck. I had a super 44 dumped on mine and it was pratically stock sounding. Very weak. On the truck i have now stock hieght I have a 40 series and its kinda loud, but not. I may swap to bullets soon also. Also, si/so ehaust is meant for more lower end & duals are for high end.
