Driver Side Mirror

I broke the glass out of my driver side mirror, on 2004 Silverado. I purchased the new part (88986362) and I am having one hell of a time of trying to pop the new one into place. Any suggestions or pictures would be great.

probably won't help, but on my '05 d*dge the mirror was very simple to pop in.
