Just Installed Gm Wheel House Liners - With Pics!

I just got done installing the GM Wheel House Liners on my 2008 GMC Sierra, Part# 19166677

Installed in less than 20 minutes, uses three plastic push clips in the factory three holes in your wheel well lip then has four self tapping 5/16 screws to secure the sides. Gives the truck a much cleaner look in the rear wheel wells and covers the gap between the frame and box. I had wheel house liners on my dodge ram and loved them because they kept the mud, snow, dirt, and winter salt off the underneath of your wheel wells and from getting into the holes in the frame and box. I got them off Ebay from weluvparts for $90 shipped.

Very nice. Makes you wonder why they don't come stock. Probably a warranty issue. Too many guys would destroy them.

Did you guys take the wheels off for the install, or is it easy to install even with the wheels?

I took my wheels off, when I installed mine.

I didn't take mine off yet but will have to because there are 4 screws that I can't get in with the tires on the truck. Holding on Ok until I get around to it though.

looks good! thanks for the heads up, im going to seriously check into ordering a set, but i have a question, in my opinion would these actually cause rust issues? Since we all know that salt mud and moisture will find their behind them, but now we cannot get to those areas with the powerwasher. Im not judging just throwing that out there. They do look good though.

Looks good man. I've always hated how GM didn't have anything to cover the rear wheel wells on the trucks. Especially the 900 series. Light colored vehicles such as white/red really stand out.

looks great! Did you get my pm or message on the chrome tow hooks?

Yes I got the message, he already put them on EBAY so I'm watching them. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

I didn't take the wheels off because I have a 6" lift so mine slid right in no problems but I would say that for a stock truck you would probably have to take the rear wheels off. The liners are a snug fit and fit tight to the wheel wells and around the wheel well lips so I can't see mud getting behind them but I'm sure you may get a small amount of dirty moisture etc but they are made to keep the crap out not hold it in. I like the spray liner Idea, I seen that a few stores carry the Dupli Color aerosol spray bed liner so that wouldn't be a bad idea to spray the wheel wells before installing the liners. For what these new trucks cost they should come stock with the liners in my opinion.

I didn't take my wheels off either. I was able to get 3 of the 4 screws in with the wheels on. I figured that will be good enough.

Crap... now I'm pissed at myself. A week after I installed the liners, I bought the GM mud flaps and installed them. To install the rear ones, I had to take the wheels off. Wouldn';t you know, I forgot about that last wheelhouse liner screw... I should have put it in then.

I also had to partly remove my nerf bars (installed a week earlier) to tighten one bolt holding the front mud flaps. These types of screw ups really piss me off. I'm always doin things backwards.

I installed them on my 07 nbs GMC (gone, but not forgotten) with the wheels on. One screw on each side was a bit difficult, but no real problem.
