I recently traded my wifes FJ cruiser in for a more practical vehicle...the obvious choice GM. With a little on in the future I wanted something full 4 door. Its an Imperial Blue 4.2L LT with sun and sound package...pretty good deal on it. Got the rebate so that helped. Was a little upside down but it was inevidable. This will be my wifes vehicle and since she works from home not used to often, but It runs great!!! Far beyond my expectations. My question is this anone have any comments about the trailblazers, good and bad. Thanks a lot guys

Only experience I have is Mom-in-law who has a 3 year old TB that she loves. No real history of problems in about 35K. I think she had a few minor trim related issues but overall is very happy.

EDIT: Oh yeah... the AM-FM-CD player croaked in it but the warranty covered fixing it.

My wife has a 04 TB w/ 56,000 miles. It is the only vehicle I've ever bought an extended warranty for, and it has paid for itself many times over since the factory warranty was done. It is a nice truck, but it's in the shop for a few days at least once a month.

Well, since this thread desperately needs TB pics of some kind, here is a pic of my Mom's Blue 07 TBSS. :nono:

I've driven both the TBSS and the regular TB, but it's the SS that I've had the most seat time in. Personally, were it not for the awesome handling and power of the TBSS... I gotta say, the Trailbazer in general probably wouldn't have ever made it on my list of vehicles to consider (Although the YD obviously won). :bs: The TB seats aren't very comfortable for me, especially in the back on long trips. The ergonomics aren't there, the dash and overall interior is rather boring, and build quality leaves a lot to be desired. And all of the usual noises/rattles you'd expect (not a huge issue).

Otherwise it's pretty darn fun to drive (the SS)! I just had to ultimately pass on the TBSS because I was really hoping for at least a 6-sp to go with all of that power, far more comfortable seats, and a nicer interior. But if getting the best performance out of a mid-size SUV was a priority, it woulda won!

As to whether or not you like your TB, I'm sure you and your wife have probably made that decision by now. They're still very nice vehicles, it just didn't stand a chance against what I was personally looking for vs. the YD - which isn't exactly a fair comparison. However, I would have picked it over the FJ. :idiot:

Thanks for the imput Wayne, My wife and I definetly love the TB and no noises whatsoever, overall it seems very solid. Got the power drivers seat and the lumbar feels great.. I know what you mean about the boring interior though. I know we made the right choice trading that damn FJ in. It was actually terrible on gas compared to the TB. The I6 actually gets up and goes. Overall we're happy at the decision we made, and its good to get info from everyone here about the pros and cons of the TB. Thanks again.
