2003 Envoy Steering

has anyone every had their steering wheel lock up on them with a 2003 envoy while they were driving.

 

it happened to me on my 2002 gmc 4x4 and they replaced the stearing box, it happened again they then replaced the steering pump and all has been fine since then

Nope, and I'm glad it hasn't. What were the conditions? Did it completely lock, no steering at all (I'd suspect the column first) or did it just loose power assist, then the fixes mentioned seem more appropriate.

I've never had my steering lock up (ie: can't steer at all), but I have had the power assist go out.
