Gmx-322 Lockpick Issues!

Recommended Posts

I just received a GMX-322 lockpick and was wondering if anyone had any issues with it specifically with the nav. I am finding the voice promt and your location on the map are about 150m out of sync with the voice promt being 100% accurate. I've tried uninstalling it back to factory and the voice and map are back to normal. Is this a common problem with the lockpicks and the nav??? Very interested in hearing your replies!

Thanks Primo.

I'll have to test that out.

I don't have it, but what I heard from people who do have it is that the nav position does get thrown off since the vehicle uses the GPS along with speed of the vehicle to pin point location. I believe the lockpick tricks the vehicle to think that it is standing still to access the locked menus while moving.

I'm sure someone with the system will chime in with more details.

On the way to work there was no problem. I will try it this afternoon with the NAV unlocked.

You are right, once I unlocked the NAV. My GPS didn't work. But it is set to timeout in 60 seconds. After that, it found my postition again.

Mine finds the position too,but its still SLIGHTLY out of sync.As I said , when I revert back to factory its more precise. Maybe I'm being too picky, but the position on the map is about 100-150m out vs.5-10m and if I'm in a city that I don't know, maybe there could be some probs. Thanks for checking!!!

Cheers Primo.

I hope you solved your problem. But speaking ouf problems...

Has GM caught on:

Just wondering if anyone is having problems with their Lockpick units. A few owners have reported that somehow they are not working correctly with the latest 2009 Nav DVD v4.0c. AKA no more "DVD in Motion"!

Has GM caught on or is it just an simple problem? please advise. I wanted to order one.

I haven't tried playing a DVD while driving (and probably never will) but everything else seems to work fine with the 2009 disc and the GMX-320 unit. The only possible issue is the GPS not working correctly after unlocking the destination input while in motion, but I need to play around with this a little more before I can know for sure.

thanks for the reply. Just checking with everyone.

The "DVD-in-Motion" is surely not for the driver's benefit. On a long road trip its great for the front seat passenger vs getting in the back with the kids to wait a movie. Also great for them(front passenger) to enter addresses are search for food, gas stations, etc without having to pull over.

Would be nice if GM had a built-in sensor in the seat to detect a front seat passenger and auto enable address entry or dvd in motion. The sensor would be similar to the airbag sensor. auto on/off
