All you need to do is contact Justin. He has ECM/TCM's waiting for you. It is $160 for the ECM and I believe 60 for the TCM. That is just about as cheap as you will find them. You might get lucky on ebay, but then you don't know for sure what you are getting either.

You will love your tune!

ok so i can get ahold of him and buy a new ecm and tcm and have him tune it and send them in the mail to me? and if i need one retuned for such things as a magnacharger for say could he do that if i send them to him?

I imagine he could, but you would have to double check with him. The magna charger may come with a program to tune your truck. Email Justin, he is a great guy and will gladly answer all your questions.

I believe so, just need to pay shipping to/from him for the re-tunes.

Looks like you're on your way Eric :sigh:

Definitely buy them from Justin. You won't find them cheaper, and he was telling me he doesn't really make any money of the modules at all. I'd be a little weary if someone is trying to sell them for cheaper than he is.

I can't say enough positives about Justin, he's been great to work with, and will always answer any questions you have.

:sigh: Well said.

I felt good buying my ECM/TCM from Justin, figuring Justin would get me the right ones. Knowing my luck, i'd find a cheap one on eBay, and it wouldn't work.

Remember you'll need to have a crank relearn performed when you install the new modules.

hows that?

You can do the security relearn for the new modules yourself. Justin mails instructions with the ECM/TCM to tell you how to do that.

The trick is sometimes you'll need a crank relearn also. Your SEL light will be on after your security re-learn to tell you that. You just need someone with a Tech II and they can do it for you. Most shops with them will do it. Justin said some places can charge as much as $40 for it, which is a ripoff seeing as how it takes 30 seconds to do, but it will need to be done.

If you get a live tune with Justin, he'll take care of it for you.

Or find someone local who has HP Tuners or EFI Live. Or wait for the EFI Live Autocal to come out, it will have the capability too.

Again, ask Justin about this.

You are correct, I don't really make any money on them. I do purchase them for a bit cheaper than I sell them for, however about 1 in 4 ends up being damaged by a parts puller that doesn't know how to unlock the harness.

Once I get a better ratio of good to bad, I'll be able to lower prices a bit on them.

I inquired with EFILive a couple days ago about the availability of the AutoCal. I got a response tonight. Paul Blackmore said it would begin field testing around March. No telling when that would be complete nor the target price. But it would naturally be cheaper than the V2 Flash Scan

Ryan,

If you don't mind, can you PM me of what did you have Justin tuned your truck for. I'm going up there next month (dallas) to tune my truck. I want more HP and can he fine tune the tranmission (smoothly). My truck is basicly stock (just Magnaflow exhust added).

Thx for your info.
