Just heard that two 737 jets have crashed into the world trade center a little while ago.  The planes were hijacked and it's believed to have been a terrorist attack.

Just thought I'd post this for those of you who are at work.

Was just watching ABC news on TV, they don't know for sure what kind of planes but they were large commercial type airliners.  The second one hit about 18 minutes after the first.  It is beleived to be a terrorist attack, as confirmed by President Bush in a brief news conference.

It is also reported but not confirmed that the FBI had received reports of an airline hikacking just prior to this incident.

there is also a fire at the pentagon and smoke at the white house.

THANKS there is a tv working and i was watching pretty scary.

They closed the sears tower in chicago which is about 20 min away from where i am right now.

They also said the planes were shot down by helicopters

one of the planes that hit the trade tower was a 737 they were hijacked from an airport, one was commercial the other was a freighter plane.  Another plane was supposed to hit the pentagon, it's believed that they shot it down, probably the debris hit the pentagon.  One of the trade center buildings a large section collapsed.  They have shut down the sears tower and another building in LA, didn't catch the name.

It's confirmed that one of the towers has collapsed.  The first plane was confirmed to be full of passengers, on route from LA.  The second one hit 15 mins later and 2 hrs after that another plane went for the white house.  The tower that still remains has damage to the top I'm going to say 25 floors and is smoking horrendously.  Unknown numbers of casualties.  But, I'm guessing there was quite a few people (firefighters police, ambulance, etc.) on the street when the tower collapsed.  I'll keep this posted as much as I can, but try  to turn on a tv if you can, or the radio.

just heard that there is fear of the remaining tower collapsing.  One plane that was hijacked was a 767 out of boston.  All gov't buildings are pretty much being evacuated as is the white house, essentially any place that may be targeted

This is just giving me the chills.  I knew walking back from class that something bad had happened when I saw TVs set up on the quad.  I sure hope this attacks are done, but I don't think they are.

Right now they are trying to figure out how many planes were hijacked.  This is being called the worst attack since pearl harbor, but I'm thinking that it may just get worse.  Now there is some talk about car bombs.  Gotta check it out.
