Hello, And My Story

Just wanted to say Hi. Been reading the forums here since the beginning of the year. I actually found these forums while looking for more information about the remote start for my 09 Silverado and thought the community here was pretty cool.

So anyway, my story in a nutshell. On Christmas eve the wife sends me out after a couple little things because we are about to have a house full of family later in the day. While I'm on my way a truck turns off to a business on my right, then another guy in another truck comes directly into my lane. I'm now looking straight at him and standing on the brakes, with the ABS doing all it can. My only clear option to avoid the head on was to swerve to my left. I would have avoided the wreck completely except at the last moment he jerked his truck back to his right, and basically turned back into the head on wreck we had. Luckily there was a witness who saw the whole thing and stayed to talk with the police. We both walked away. His insurance company finally accepted fault. Anyway, that was my Christmas eve.

Bye Bye to my 05 Silverado

So I now have a new 09. It's pretty nice. And thanks to these forums, this week it will have the only option it was missing, DIC

how come some of the silvy's have the little slot in the chrome piece by the bumper and some are solid??

welcome, glad everything turned out ok. great looking Z71 you've got there. Fedex just droppped off my DIC switch yesterday. thanks to daddy and this forum for an easy upgrade.
