I was having dashboard light issues and because of the symptoms I thought the cause of the problem was the multi-function switch, So I bought a new multi-function switch and swapped out the original to find out that I had the same dashboard problems. So my loss is your gain. A new switch from my local dealer is $480.00. My problem turned out to be the light bar I had installed, it had shorted out.

 

My original multi-function switch is for sale, guaranteed to work. It is the version with Cruise Control, tilt steering. Contains all applicable cable/harness wiring.

 

Cost is $100 plus shipping. Just trying to recoup some of my investment.

 

The switch came off of my 2001 GMC Sierra, which I have owned since I bought the truck new.
