Mods Started Today Including Pics

Well, with it being such a beautiful day out today, I just couldn't wait any longer. I had been planning to to all of my mods over a weekend, but got too anxious. First is stock form, next is the mesh grille and lower valance removal, then Bushwacker bed rail caps, then the wheels will be getting BFG A/T 305/65-18 after the 2" leveling kit is installed that is sitting in my garage. I'm not sold on the grille yet, that's why it's just pressed on there right now. I may save up a little and get the whole grille/shell combo. Thoughts?

Sorry for the low quality photos, the wife has the good camera with her today.

Grille, bedside caps, and a wheel in your bed? HAHA, nice mods man!

I've had the truck for about 3 weeks! I'm a'tryin brotha.

nice truck man. will you be able to run 305/65/R18 without rubbing after the 2" level?

Thanks man. I'm hoping so. Maybe someone on here can chime in. I ran 305's on my 2000 Z71 with the torsion bars cranked and add-a-leaf. Oh yeah, forgot something.......Ventshades...hahaha

I'm also hoping to get my Bowties painted the same as the exterior color in the next couple of weeks.

Ha, I wasn't putting your mods down. I was just just trying to be a smart ass and call a wheel in the bed a mod.

Depending on the specs of those wheels, those 305's are not going to be TIGHT. I attempted 305/55/20's on my truck with just a 2" leveling kit and the tires weren't even close to fitting.

I agree that the 305/65R18's probably won't fit but I will also say that we have at least one member who is running 305/55R20's with only minor rubbing at full lock. That said, the 18's are .4 inches larger in diameter than the 20's. It's not happening on only a 2" kit. A 285 or 295 should work though with minimal cutting or rubbing.

Here's a handy tool for tire sizes, btw: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I was also told by several people that my 305's wouldn't fit on my older truck with only the torsion bars cranked. And they've barely rubbed at times, and I've had three different brands of 305's on it. I don't listen very well. But if someone can tell me that they have tried 305's, with a leveling kit (NBS), and it, without a doubt will rub, I may reconsider.

Hey, wait a minute Daddy, your sig shows you having a 2" with 305's....what up with that?

305/50's, not 305/55's.

305 is only the width, the 55 is the aspect ratio, or the percentage of the width that the sidewall is tall. 305's can very in outside diameter based on that middle number.

305/55R20's are 1.2 inches larger in diameter than my 305/50R20's.

really? cause in your sig pic it looks like you have 245's....

more like 235's

Roger that. So, a 285/70 is about all I can get? Which would be about 1.5" taller and 1" wider than stock? Does that sound about right? BTW, my wheels have a 0 offset, and they are 18"x9".

Thanks for the input.
