I have the same truck and all indications are that up to a 305/55/20 (33x12.50x20) will fit with MINOR rubbing when the wheel is at full lock. I am looking to move up from my stock 275/55/20 Goodyear Eagle LS2's to a 305/55/20. So, I've researched it quite a bit and everyone tells me it will fit. There are quite a few people on here with the same truck that run 305/55/20's. Thus, I feel certain that a 285/55/20 will fit.

Thats a big negative. I wouldn't recommend you try that.

Blackout... If possible, could you elaborate on that statement? I was going on what many on here and other forums have posted... Seems like a lot of people run that size tire with a leveling kit... Just curious because I definitely don't want to do anything that is going to be significantly detrimental...

Many people say a tire fits because they can drive on them. That doen't mean that they truely fit. I ran 305/55/20's on my truck with 2" leveling kit and a 3" body lift with minor rubbing at full lock when backing. I guarantee that those tires, even on factory wheels will rub something fierce with just a leveling kit. There is a member here who had to cut metal to fit those tires with a 3" body lift.

I see... Thanks for the clarification... I'll definitely have to look into it a little more before I make any decisions... Regardless, to answer the original question, I still think 285/55/20's should fit... The specs on the stock Goodyear Eagle LS2's (275/55/20) are 31.9" (height) and 11.2" (width)... Most 285/55/20 All-Terrain tires (Ex. BFG AT KO, Nitto TG, Toyo AT, etc.) are less than or equal to 32.5" (height) and 11.8" (width)... Considering the minor increases in both dimensions (height and width), I do feel certain that 285/55/20's will fit... However, that statement is subject to rebuttal if someone has information superior to that which I have been privied...

Word. And that member was a little pissed at all the other members who said "yeah, 305/55/20s fit with no problem.. ". I even made sure to go with a modest wheel size (9" wide with 5.7" backspace). There are people who say they dont have any issues with 9" wide & 5" backspace (which would rub worse than mine)...

So be careful what people mean by "they fit". I dont like ANY rubbing, even at full lock.

They do look good though :nono:

according to Cooper's website, the only 285 tire they offer in the Zeon LTZ's are 285/60/R18 or 285/50/R20. both of those are less overall diameter than the OEM 275/55/R20 tires. which size Zeon's are you running?
