Vette Servo Installed

I had my truck at the Dealership today for the Oil Change, Transmission Fluid Flush and Filter and I also had them throw in the Vette Servo I ordered shortly after my Blackbear Tune! Basically...I'm very impressed...I notice the shifts to be a lot quicker and crisper and everything is just alot more responsive. Definetly worth the $$ it costs

Good deal...did the tune include the corvette servo upgrade in mind? Reason I ask is because Justin told me that when I do mine, it might require a retune (not that I care) but he said it had something to do with line pressure? (CAN an EXPERT chime in here?).

+1 I would like to know this too.

Also, the dealer put this in? Do they know about your BB tune? I am surprised they would do this ona tranny that is under warranty?

How much did it cost you?

That is pretty impressive to hear that the dealership installed that. I didn't even bother asking my dealership not worth the hassle.

Yes...Justin and I talked about the Vette Servo when I had him tune the truck back in April...I ordered shortly there after and just hadn't got the chance to put it in yet....the 2 to 3 shift is where I notice it the most...and while I am not a fan of firm shifts...this definetly is OK with me just because you can feel the power!

Yes...they know about my BB Tune.....know I have my stock modules...etc....they are friends of mine...I used to work with them when I sold these trucks about a year ago, probably the only reason I got it done....

They charged me $90...basically one hour of labor....but I'm not complaining....I just look at it from the aspect that had I put it in wrong and something happened it could have cost me a hell of a lot more than $90 bucks for the labor, and $20 for the part...they even put my stock servo back in the envelope and gave it back incase we ever needed it....

I also had the Transmission Service performed.....Flush, Fluid, and Filter....I don't mind giving these techs the work, as I know they will take care of it right!

For an Oil and Filter Change, the Servo Labor, and the Transmission Fluid Flush and Filter I was OTD for a little over $300....it would have been alot cheaper if I hadn't had the tranny flushed, but I am getting ready to start towing some miles on this truck and I'd just rather do preventative maintence.

just a side note with the BB Tune...I'm running 89 Octane.....with 75% City and 25% Highway for the last few tanks....I am getting 16.9 MPG on average....where as this time last year I was only getting 13.8 MPG.....not saying all weather conditions, or driving conditions were exactly the same...but I wish I had tuned this last year when gas was $4 a gallon...I would have paid for that tune in no time....

glad you like the tune and the shiftness of the redone truck...now keep your foot out of it

I here a lot goot things about the Vette servo mod. I'm really on the fence about it though. Justin improved my 2-3 shifts but it sounds like the Vette servo might be what I'm after. Justin just tweaked the 2-3 shift a bit more this week. The modules are in the mail back to me so I haven't tried out the adjustments yet. I'm interested in the putting the Vette servo in but I still have concerns about the reliability. I have read conflicting information. Justin and I talked about it in the past and he made me feel very comfortable about it. I trust his advice so maybe I'm just over analyzing this mod. :D

Is there anyone here that has been running the Vette servo for quite a while? Any issues?

Jeff, have you decided to install the Vette servo? I remember reading some posts from you a while back that you were also undecided about it based upon some conversations you had with some local transmissions shops. Reading your posts about what the tranny guys told you is what caused a little skepticism for me at the time.

I think you are over analyzing this mod...my only concern is whether there will be a difference in the line pressure or not if I actually make this change...
