Will not be getting a flu shot this year....or ever. Neither will my wife or any of my kids. We all have immune systems, and injecting them with a strand of flu that was developed last year does not seem beneficial to our health. "A lil dirt never hurt anybody"4 points

Put about 100 miles on my truck to take my 91 year old mom to visit my Dad's grave. He's been gone 50 years this week. Kind of tough duty but very glad I took her.3 points

I really hate to say this, but as an update as of tonight, my truck is fixed. It just sat at the dealership for a week, and they finally called me and told me to come pick out any set of wheels/tires off any other truck on the lot and they would swap them for me. I hate saying this because I know it's not the fix for most guys here, but my truck rides completely smooth, like you're on glass up to about 95mph, even with cruise set. I stuck with 22" wheels, but ended up picking a set of the black ones that look like this: They look good, and I guess they work a lot better than the chrome ones I had.2 points

Never understood this decal....Folks...you did not build this ..unless you work all positions at the GM assembly line.2 points

Had a little situation last night with the microwave, it was humming along and then POOF smoke just starts billowing out and filled the house in seconds. Got everyone out and then unplugged it and ran it outside....far away from everything. Loaded it up this morning in the truck to take to scrap...I know, I know I may be maxing out my payload but it's a one time thing so I don't think I'll have any problems...2 points

Okay so I was inspired by 2 threads here, one being the fog lights on with high beams, which I did and love. The other is a thread about putting a switch in the bed by the tailgate to turn on the cargo lights. That's a great idea but I wanted something simpler, so using the info in the fog light thread, and the link to the wire diagrams, I found the relay switch wires for the cargo lights and the reverse lights then used an extra diode from the fog light trick to connect the two. Now when it's dark and you unlock your doors with the remote, which activates the headlights and reverse lights, the cargo lights come on as well. This does activate the lights by the third brake light as well as the lights in the bed, just as if you pushed the switch on the dash. This is going to activate the cargo lights when you put the truck in reverse also, which will provide more light behind the truck, but it may glare off the rear window as well. I will be testing this tonight to see if I like it or not. The reverse light relay wire is in the same brown plug as the fog lights. Number 26, its brown with 2 blue stripes. The cargo light relay wire is also number 26, brown wire white stripe, but it's in the pink plug to the left of the brown plug. I used the other diode from the 2 pack I bought to do the fog lights ( part # 1N004). The stripe goes toward the cargo lights in the pink plug. As long as there's not too much glare to see while reversing at night then this should be a handy little trick!!1 point

In the end, new wheels and tires fixed the issue completely. The issue I was having was a vibration at 68mph+ in the seats, floor, pedals, and center console. I had the truck in a total of three times, the first two times they just kept road forcing the wheels and tires I had, and couldn't figure it out. This last time, I got the impression that it just sat, and they got tired of it, so just told me to pick out a new set, before they exchanged the truck. I guess I should note that I never had a vibration at 40, and never was my vibration in the steering wheel. One of the rear wheels and tire on the chrome ones came up with a road force variation at 22 in the best case, and took 6.75 ounces of weight. That probably was the issue all along, but the service manager didn't want to replace a tire... Whatever ha.1 point

This the last day she'll have "stance". The spacers are getting taken off tomorrow... Then we'll see how much clearance I have after all the trim work. Maybe we'll be able to squeeze some 35s in there after Christmas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I replaced the 5.3 intake and throttle body for the 6.2 intake and throttle body, checked then and took pictures. The pics are on my intake mod. it only takes about 30-40 min to remove and replace very easy. RT1 point

Ehh that sticker just makes me think of every stanced civic ive ever seen. Clean truck though.1 point

You don't get it cus you don't see the full picture. That's what a 2wt trim looks like and that's how my 2wt trim truck looks like. I use this decal because all the parts on this truck I installed them myself, even made custom parts for stuff to work. That's what the sticker refers to, obviously not meant like I built the truck like I build cabinets. 2014 Silverado 2WT CC Summit White 4.3L V6 DROPKICK Edition IG: jorge_dropkick_rangel1 point

Did front brakes and rotors on the 06 express van we have for work. Did an 09 express cutaway box truck on saturday (just pads). Also yanked the PCM in my truck and gonna be sending it into Diablosport along with their tuner to get my Vin put back on the PCM. Should have listened to everyone and myself and just got a Blackbear tune...1 point

I'm impressed with my local dealer, who I didn't buy it from, he went to bat for me, and will be my dealer from now on. You often hear service after the sale or phrases similar to it. This whole experience has shown me both sides to it. My purchase dealer was a total POS to deal with once I told them I had a problem and flat out lied about it from day one. Telling me it never had a vibration.1 point

Not sure what inverter you guys are referring to, I don't have it though. Can't run 110 off my truck. The hair dryer/microwave comment was a joke ha-ha.1 point

Don't wanna be "that guy", but a second battery doesn't increase the pitiful capacity of the factory inverter which drives the plug. At only 150 watts you are limited to charging your iPad, or possibly using a high powered toothbrush. Also without a battery isolator, a lot of the benefits of a dual battery system are lost.1 point

Hmm...so I could run a sawzall off the 120 plug with this? I tried the other day and got no power...1 point

so I just did this too, however I just used a regular piece of wire. So the cargo lights do come on in reverse, but also when I turn on the cargo light switch, the reverse lights also come on too. Didn't cost me anything since I had some scrap wire laying around and didn't have to goto RadioShack to buy a diode.1 point

Not to thread jack, but I guess I'm in between the leveled and suspension lift threads from a height perspective. I went with the 2.5" level + 1.5" Body Lift and have a total of $240 in 4"s of lift. Install was easy, retains warranty (at least according to my dealer), and is reversible unlike cutting up the crossmember for a full suspension lift. Can't go wrong with this setup in my opinion.1 point

Posting pics for ChandlerPerry5. I know it's a 5" rough country. He can chime in with the rest of the specs.1 point

I had a soft tonneau cover on mine, came with the truck when I got it. I was a pain in the neck to take on and off. I got sick and tired of that and just picked up a really nice tool box instead. Much much better! A lot of room for all my stuff, locks, and I still have my bed open for hauling stuff. Win win situation in my opinion.1 point
