Well the truck has 75,000 miles on her so I think it's time I put new shocks on it. I hear a sqeaking coming from the front of the truck that I think is coming from the shocks. I can push on the bumper to replicate the noise. I was planing on putting in some bilsteins. I want to put in air bags in the rear for towing to lift up the rear a bit. Would I buy those shocks for the rear or would air bags replace the shock. I'm new to this so I'm a bit confused. Here is a picture to illustrate would I'd like to fix. Thanks again

I've no doubt you should replace the shocks, but the squeaking is likely the bushings or maybe even balljoints if it hasn't been lubed. I'd take the truck to a good, trustworthy frontend shop for an evaluation of the steering and suspension condition. It's about that time. If it's been treated (lubed) well, it may not need anything except the shocks and some rubber lube on the bushings.

Bilstiens are my recommendation as well.

The fix is to center the weight of the car over the axles.....no way you need airbags to tow a car.

You really shouldn't need air bags to haul what you are right there. If you are talking about bigger loads then air bags might be in order, but your car is pulled too far forward on the trailer. Just from looking at this photo, I would guess it needs backed up at least a good 6-10 inches. Hard to say exactly without being there.

I am sure you need shocks if they are the factory ones. I will add another vote for Bilstiens.

Thanks for the replies. Where do the air bags mount to? I thought they replaced the shocks. I'm new to the suspension world as you guys can tell. Any decent quality but good price bags? Thanks again

The car need to be put on the trailer this way the way the trailer is setup. I knew this would make my truck sag when I picked up the trailer. Thanks again

What would happen if he backed the car on the trailer? The engine would be more over the axles of the trailer.

Just a thought.
