Shocks On 04 Sierra

ok ok i know another one of these..... well i dont know anything about the shocks. i need some opinions and suggestions on what to buy. my friend with an 09 all terrain says get some ranchos. my dad says bilsteins. im open to all suggestions and just dont want something outragously priced. the truck is an 04 sierra ext cab 2wd. coil spring front leaf rear suspension. its stock ride height and has the stock 16's on it but will get 20s next may after my trip to either iraq or afganistan. it also has 78k on it with the shocks installed on the assembly line.

I have Bilsteins on both my trucks. Damn good shocks. I wouldn't go any other way. That said, I put KYBs on my wife's Infinity and it made that car into a great riding and handling vehicle. You won't go wrong either way.

thats where i originally found them at. and i was leaning towards the hd cuz i have been known to get my truck airborne

Replaced my Red Tennecos couple years back with some Monroe Reflexes...One of the worst decisions I could have ever made. After about 15kish miles the fronts were trash, wont even extend anymore. The rears couldn't keep my rear end solid for anything, I could pretty much get the bed pogoing if I jumped in the back. Went on to shockwarehouse.com and purchased some Bilsteins HD....Should have done it the first time. Get the Bilsteins, don't be surprised if your truck makes you shed tears of joy again. Mine did.

I had a similar experience to Jason's. My rear Reflex's went bad after about the 15-20k also. Went with KYB GR-2's. Very satisfied.
