Replacement Nbs Shock Absorber Recommendations

My '07 NBS Silverado Work Truck LS has hit 40K and is bouncing over road dips. I loved the ride when the truck was new and I need some recommendations for shocks to replace the OEM shocks......any suggestions?

wow I got 66k on my original shocks. still rides like new. I have a 07NBS as well

The ride on my truck when new sucked. The shocks weren't doing their job of keeping the front suspension in control. It bounced wildly on the freeway and was damn near out of control on the rough freeway system of LA at moderate speeds. I noticed it on the drive home from the dealer. I think it was my combination of suspension packages that they didn't select the right damping for. Not even close. Felt like the shocks weren't even there.

I don't have the '07 NBS but i did just install 4 5100's on my '07 classic. Improved the ride. Not as stiff as I'd have liked but the vehicle is much improved over the stock Z71 shocks.

 

If anyone wants a set of used shocks for cheap give me a whistle. They have 26,000 miles on them and weren't gone when I took them off.

+1 on Bilstein HD. My truck had 36k and the old shocks weren't terrible, but new shocks made a significant improvement in ride. You could "test" drive a new truck on a route you drive frequently, I bet you would notice a difference.

Replaced my stock shocks on my Bilsteins on my 99 and never looked back or had complaints

the ones on my truck are 120k and they are barley starting to acting up.. going with bilsteins ones next week
