Bought a gallon 2 years ago. Heard a guy talking about it on the radio and said how great it was, so I picked a gallon up. After seeing what it does to rubber and plastic, the can hasn't moved since. If you want to try it, buy my gallon

Man, that statement right there actually says alot! I didn't know I was bringing up another topic like that. LOL

 

I'm gonna go ahead, pour lighter fluid on top of this one, put a match to it, gather the ashes in a USPS flat rate box and send it back to hell where it came.

yeah...acetone melts plastic...your tank is made of plastic.......what do you think will happen.

 

not to mention the tips of your injectors, your intake manifold, your fuel pump and float....the list goes on.

I think we had a topic going about this for awhile, and a guy here was bench testing it. The results were the first tank will get you better MPG but thats only because the acetone will clean up the crap in the fuel system. After that it will swell up anything made of rubber. (Like he tested some rubber O rings and the swelled up ) I think the testing ended at that!

Back in the seventies, I had a turbocharged car that I had a 50/50 mix of acetone/water injection on when the boost when above 5 psi to prevent detonation.

Yeah, as soon as I heard the "beaten to death" comment, I went and looked up some topics. Heard good and bad and the bad outweighed the good in most cases. I'm not really looking to have any major bills because of stupidity. After hearing a local talk about it to me I was pretty interested in using it, but when your on a budget I think I'll just stick with having a couple small bills due to stupidity.
