Gm Chrome Bug Deflector/hood Shields

Hello,

Guys, Since I got my truck in august, I'm trying to find a place which sell a chrome bug deflector. I called GM Canada directly and the guy told me he is out of stock for a while (~5 months). No GM garage in CANADA seems to have it in stock. It is all back order. I REALLY need a deflector on my truck because I can have serious problem with my hood. The winter here is rude and I had the experience of rust on car hood during winter... you probably know the story...

I said to myself that I'll not wait for GM to get their deflector available... I'm checking for another company selling stuff like that. I've found "Lund Internationnal" but I don't think they ship in CANADA... I don't think lund is that "internationnal" as the name says... So I need your help guys! I don't know what to do but I have a CHROME or STAINLESS deflector... not the smoke one.

I don't know if the same issue exist in the USA about product availability of chrome deflector but I would appreciate your help guys. I really need one :D

Thank you for your help again!

Your local "performance" or truck accessory shop should be able to get Lund, or other brands in for you. Just go in and tell them what your looking for. I know the local shop here carries Lund. Also, I do beleive my local gm dealer had a chrome bug deflector sitting on the wall in their parts department. I'll take a look next time I'm in there.

Actually, JC Whitney is way too pricey... it cost more than GM price...

saskfarmer, thank you for checking that and contact me as soon as possible if they have one :D

Where are you located? My dealer got mine for me when i picked up my truck end of Aug. They never even mentioned having any issue about getting it and haven't had any prob getting other back ordered parts for me before.

Why does it have be a chromed deflector?

Bling bling, son.

OP, get a tinted deflector. It would look much better than a chrome one!

Use them a guide on who makes what and what ones you like. Generally then you can figure out who has what local and for what price.
