Private sale....you can probably ask 4-5K more than what a usual stock truck of this year and milage goes for....It is a very nice truck after all.

Dealership trade in...you'll probably get less for it than a stock truck...its "harder to sell because its a niche market".

Ditto!

I would search for the price of a truck that matches your year, model, and mileage. Then add the price of your mods. That should put you in the right ballpark .

thanks man, I just like the looks of the gmc better and i would like the 6.2 for the power...

Yup...I can respect that.

Just don't trade it in...they'll rape you. A guy traded his F-250 here a couple years back...guy bought it in Texas for like nearly 100K...lifted on 40's ...etc etc etc...he got 29K for it here. They told him it was because it was going to be so hard to sell a truck like this because most customers come in looking for a stock vehicle. They guy shrugged and rolled off in his F-550 or 450...which ever one has a box...He had a very large camper.

The dealer than plopped it on the lot for 75K...bunch of pricks.

A buddy of mine go them good though...he was there looking at buying a new truck, he seen the guy come in...and chatted to him while having a smoke. He told my buddy that he knew he was gonna get raped...but it was bought cash and he was buying whatever he got new cash too and didn't care...so my buddy told him to let him know how much they gave him for it so he could get a lower price....

Well, the old guy gave him a copy of the deal as he was leaving...so when it went on the lot for 75K my buddy popped down...and long story short, threatened to bring the deal o the media to show what the dealership was doing to people...and he walked out with a $29K Tricked out F250.

I don't know. I've found that you never really get back close to what you invest in mods. It's been that way for trucks, cars, motorcyles, etc. If I can....I try to replace the mods with OE equipment. Then I sell the performance/mod parts separately and I always get more for those parts than if I sold them with whatever it was that I was selling. Sometimes you luck up and find someone that will pay extra for the mods, but for me, that's always been the exception, not the rule.

I certainly don't see him getting 4-5K over what the truck is worth stock. Again...unless he gets lucky. That's why I like to keep my OE wheels, tires, intake, exhaust, etc., etc.

My last truck I got an awesome price for my trade. If you find a dealership that sells lifted trucks, maybe they'll be your better choice. The dealership really wanted my truck and I believe they had a buyer for it already. I got 18,500 for a 2003 with 58,000 miles lifted. The going price at the time was 13,000 for trade on a stock truck similar to mine, so you have a good chance to get a good price.

I certainly wouldn't give it to the dealerships at regular price. If they low ball you, sell it yourself :)

It's tough to get your money back on the mods, and you likely will lose out. I would keep it, but if your heart is set on getting a GMC, then I would at the very least remove the lift, wheels, tires, etc. and put them on the new truck.

Amen brother.. If I could have taken any of my previous mods to the new truck I would have in a heart beat! :)

Again...like I said...you ask 4-5K more...and settle on what you can live with.

It's a damn nice truck, and some people want the lift and everything but don't want the hassle of doing it or having it done...so buying something like this would be right up they're alley....and if you have the receipts and everything, showing your asking say half of what the mods are worth, and the price of an equivalent stock truck...I would say you would have no trouble getting it
