Suspenion Packages

i figured i'd start a thread to get everybodys 2 cents on what they are running and if they like it, and just what you guys thought of the stock shocks and set up...i'm running z85/82 package and my ride is pretty stiff on shotty roads, rides quite well if its loaded though...

I have the Z71 for those extra tough aluminum skidplates!!!!! In all seriousness the aftermarket skidplates on my Jeep TJ make the ones on my truck look like heatshields. All in all I am happy with all aspects of my Z71. I have not driven the others enough though to really tell any difference.

i have to say, i've driven an 03 z71, an 01 z85 and my 04 z85 and the z71 seems like alot nicer ride, the z85 just seems like a rough ride but hell its truck and its tolerable

that means you have the Z60 its pretty much a Z71 but without the rear sway bar, I think. Comes with 36mm front sway bar, thats the biggest oem size available. There are a couple other threads on here explaining the z60 (high performance suspension)

I have Z60 and would like to see more info on the differences in Z60 suspension and Z71.

Z82 is the towing package. It has nothing to do with the suspension, My Z71 suspension package has the Z82 option.

the Texas Edition comes with some sort of suspension package, not sure what it is though; i may have to look up my rpos'

99 C1500nbs Z85 & 01 K2500nbs z85.... C1500 rides much better but does not have E rated tires like my K2500.....

I've found that the Z71 rides better than the Z85 did on my '07.

 

EDIT: My '07 had the Z60, not the Z85 like I initially stated.

I know the Z71's have a skidplate, front stabilizer and upgraded to bilstein shocks; that's what I remeber; some other small minor upgrades to.

My Z85 is plenty good for me. When I had the stock tires on it was really smooth, like running over the turtle’s barley made any noise. Now it's almost a quite but still smooth as silk.

My 99 has z71 and its a nice ride. But i dont have bilsteins I have something else, cant remember what though

They have not used bilstein shocks in years, the z71 has red shocks, starts with a T, i cant think of the brand name for the life of me.
