good idea... it really isnt a big deal per se for me... it became more of a pain when I put you dogs in cab on a rainy day... hair, hair and MORE hair. and if your OCD like me about a clean truck you will know what i mean....I HAVE TO HAVE A CLEAN TRUCK! ok... ssModder you have to share... where did you get your covers from? what did they cost? and lets have a peek!

If you're cheep, you can rub the cloth down with dryer sheets and that will kill both the static cling and freshen up the cab a bit.

On the Tahoe, I got rid of the fabric and put in leather/vinyl.

why are my seats like lint collectors i sit in em for 2 days they're jacked up again.....this sucks

anybody know how you can fix this?

The best place to start is here:

http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=seat+lint

72 pages and over 1000 posts with how to fix and how not to fix this problem. My suggestion with taking a flame thrower to the interior to correct the problem didn't go over so well

I am amazed that lint collecting seats could be so important to people. I would just throw on some cheap seat covers and be done with it. For me, mechanical problems with the truck, and body problems such as rattles and rust are real problems worthy of a 100 page thread. Lint isn't. .

Those would, but since I never had any of those issues lint was my biggest.

hey buddy... can you give me the specifics on what you bought? model, style etc... i would like to see and maybe get the same. oh and post some pics of what you got.

the updated covers still suck!! I just got my leather from roadwire.com its sweeeeeeeeeeeettt!

I bought the single color (ebony) premium leather 3/36k warranty. Its a very soft and nice leather, looks awesome! They have different options as well if you want to get into multi colors, piping etc. From What I have been told is that roadwire leather and katzkin are the top 2 leather companies to go with. My truck has the 40 20 40 in front with underseat storage and rear 60/40 without armrest and it was 750 otd installed for me(500 for the covers and 250 install)

Ill put up some pics tomorrow!!

i dont think it is all THAT important to us people... to me there is a principal involved with a purchase of that much money.... when you spend 35k bucks on a new car wouldnt you expect something of quality for your hard earned money? maybe we dont all have or want to spend the extra cash on seat covers when i can buy something fun instead. i just paid 35k for what i thought was a good value.. so yeah we complain about the seat material.

It was important to me, I keep my truck clean inside/out even under the hood looks new. The seats allways looked terrible. I did wait 2.5 years though but getting this resolved was definately on my list.

Oh and I have zero rattles or any other problems with my truck

I think it is even simpler than that. The internet is the great equalizer. Get a couple of people talking in an open internet forum about something they don't like with something they own, and it will escalate. Wonder how many were just ignoring the issue until they saw someone else getting something for nothing? That being said, the stock cloth interior even on the 2010 collected lint, and would give you a good static shock on the back of your leg getting out of the truck. I had leather put in, but that was more for the sliding in and out of the truck with a bad back.

I would recomend taking it by your dealer and see if they will do the TSB repairs on your truck. I wrote down the number from the other post and gave it to the service writer when I inquired about the TSB. They replaced every cloth serface on my seats. I believe they even replaced the center console with a new one as well. So if your truck is an 09 and they do replace everything then you will have new interior surfaces for free. Can't hurt to ask. Yes the new seats still collect lint but, not nearly as bad as the original cloth.
