Bed Pockets

Guys had a question and thought maybe someone could give me some help. I had bed rails on my truck that installed in the pockets on side of the bed. I had to remove them due to the cover I installed on my truck bed. I was trying to find out if there was some sort of cap or anything that I could cover the holes with? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, stop by your local metal supply store. Pick up a 4x8ft sheet of like gauge sheet metal return home and custom fab replacement panels. Sand way all paint from area TIG or MIG in replacement panels using a tack method all the way around with the MIG or just lay a nice bead around with the TIG. Grind smooth, skim coat with filler. Guide coat and sand to insure smooth, if not re-skim coat, then re-guide coat. Prime. Paint. It is NOW SMOOTH..

But back to what you were asking I have not seen anything that will work less what I have said on this post above. Will work on the bed rail pockets with a cover installed.

The GM retractible tie downs are chromed, stick up just a bit above the rail, and are actually useful! They work well and actually seal with my folding hard tonneau cover.

Truxedo makes a set also, not sure if they fit the GMT900s or not but are listed for the GMT800, I think they are something like $10 for a set of 4 (at least thats what my local shop said). They ordered a couple of sets and I'll let y'all know if they fit the GMT900s or not.

+1 for the retractable tie downs... I have them on my truck, think they are made by bully but they are a loop that pops up / down...

Tonneau closes right on top of it flush.

Thanks for the help. I was trying to find out if you knew where I could get the GM product?

GM makes(markets) some stainless retractable tiedowns that are tidy but add a skosh of bling.

yep that is them. The machine screws clamp it in very well, easy installation, rubber sealed. Not designed for say a motorcycle tie-downing. More like cargo net or misc. tying things down like an awning/tent.

how flat is the 12498613 hooks when folded away? I don't have plastic bed rails and don't want a "bump" in the rails. Are they flush flat in the bed?
