I was told 07/08 silverado's have had recalled rotors by a friend, my 08 with 14,500k is starting to have squelling brakes.

 

Anybody know anything!

No,Not true...There is no recall on the rotors.

although they should. gm rotors I had to replace mine last week.....only 20k on her.

I know mine squeal too and I only have 54,000 Kms on it...but have squealed pretty much from the start

Mine were warped at about 6000 miles and the dealership turned them at 9000 miles when I went in for an oil change. They are much better now but still a subtle pulse when I apply the brakes at highway speeds. I'm guessing this will be a recurring issue.

hmmm they probably shouldnt have changed the brakes from the gmt800 trucks... the 800's brakes are amazing they last forever..
