went to pick up my truck today, was super happy and excited to have what my daughter calls daddy's monster truck back. i decided to stop by first and unload the rental car. saw it sitting there all clean and shiny and the oh s**t moment happened. tell me if you can see the problem.

The color is off?

bingo, it's not even in the same ballpark.

What a pain, hopefully they are pretty cool and it goes smooth.

theyare but the bed has to come back off and i don't know how they're going to get a good tape line along that linex. it sucks because i've been without it for 5 weeks already and i was looking forward to taking it down to my new land and getting the trees i cut down the other day. maybe i can load it all in the rental vw

Bed looks a ton darker in the pics. They should be able to solve that pretty easily. They SHOULD have done so before telling you it was ready.

If you kept a level head after waiting 5 weeks to get your truck, I tip my hat off to you. I would have been livid, but found a way to keep my composer. I hope they fix it and fix it right. The last photos really show the difference and I would not accept that either. As already mentioned, if you can see it in the photo's, it has to be worse in person. Be thankful you picked it up on a sunny day and not at night.

Well you should! The guy writes music for you, WTF does he have to do with the paint job???

I couldn't see the diff in the first pictures, but was VERY noticeable in that last one. Good luck!

Some colors are pretty difficult to match. Light silver, green, gold, and blue metallic colors are the worst. My neighbor had a Chevy sedan that was hit in the right quarterpanel, which was replaced and repainted. The car was gold in color and you could see different shade of paint on that panel from 100 yards.

Your color, being somewhat darker than the once listed above, should not be that difficult to match. the truck is pretty new so the paint is not faded yet.

They should repaint the whole side of the truck if they cannot match the color, or at least blend it in by spraying the back part of the cab.

I would not be happy with this repair either.
