Factory Window Tint %

guys on my Sierra 2500HD Classic the back door windows and rear window are factory tinted. What color and % of tint do i need to match it?

It should have a label on lower corner. Typically says something like 19% +/- 2. I'm not sure exactly I'd have to run out to the parking lot and check.

I thought I remembered hearing that before. I looked and didnt see anything, but I will look again.

15% comes to my mind, but I'm not absolutely sure.

Thinking the same near 20%. Friend of mine went and got his 08 d-max, the front windows done and they did 20% on it but I think it looked a whole lot darker than the back windows on the crew cab. Also if you go to a place that tints they should be able to check it for you to get it close. I got a regular back that wasnt tinted at all and did the back first with 20% then came over with 5% later, then did the fronts at 20% and he checked the fronts before I left and it registered 13%.

It's definitely less than 20%, but it's close enough that I think 20% is the best match to the factory tint.

I have 3M 20% on mine. It's not perfect but it's pretty close. You can only tell from the inside anyways.

On all my GM trucks I have tinted the front windows 20% and it matches the rears perfectly.

Same here, my last 3 were tinted with 20% and it looks almost exact

A good tint shop will have a light meter and can tell you in about 3 seconds....but I am also pretty sure its 20%.

 

as for color...pretty sure its smoke.
