Moving Topics

I would like some insight on what exactly is ok to discuss in the "general discussion" area of this forum...

If you mention something about a tire, bam it's moved.. A rim question, boom, it's gone.. There is a transmission topic in here that is like 8 pages long,, and surely it could be moved to the "powerrtrain" area??? What gives?? Is there a mod with such little excitment in life that he/she will just move topics at their whim??

What are we supposed to talk about?? The weather?? Will that get moved to a new area?? Should we talk about the best flavor of jello??

Anyone like to golf?? Light beer... Taste great or less filling??

What transmission temps are everyone running? Why does my 4l60E lose reverse all of a sudden?

Should I install a corvet servo?? My thread will never be moved now!!

Ok, my rant is over.. Everyone have a nice Saturday!

Well the weather where I am deployed is about 115-130 with 99% humidity on any given day. Thats not including the random sand storms, camel spiders, and various other environmental conditions.

Don't know about any new area, although after 6 months of this shit; I know im ready for one.

Jello?..Cherry. With vodka, of course.

Miller light is a nice beer sometimes. Tastes great but certainly not less filling.

Tranny temps? Well hookers, strippers, and street walkers arent real people. They have no soul. So id say significantly less than 98.6 degrees.

Most times you lose reverse when you dont stop before going from D to R.

I dont have a corvette but it sure would be nice sometimes.

I am sure your thread will be moved to off-topic.

EDIT...I cant believe I missed this one...Golf is great when Tiger's drama is going on. Otherwise, who really watches that shit? Comatose patients? I know I go into a coma when I can't find the remote and it's stuck on continuous Golf replays for the day.

Topics get moved, as they should. There are specific sub-forums for tires, Audio/Video/Nav, Performance, and Off topic. If it fits in those, thats where it goes. If not, its a general topic for here. You get better responses for "what size tire", in rubber and rims. Not to mention, when you go to rubber and rims, you'll probably find the answer to your "will it fit" question, without having to post the same question for the 100th time.

That's also true.

We try to put things in the appropriate areas as it seems often enough that people "dump" topics into the fullsize area just due to the high traffic it gets when their question is more appropriate for another section. Now we'll just move this along to the off-topic area

Yea, and where the jizz does it get moved to... It always just says moved...

Even though it says moved the link still works (you can still click on it) it will take you to the same topic it will just be in a different area.

Yup. But that's only if we select the option to leave that in the original place.

To answer the OP's question/rant, we move them when we see them. Some will get missed, as we are human, and have lives...We simply don't see them all.

Holy chit! Where are you stationed? I thought the one reprieve you got from being in the desert was that at least you didn't have to deal with the humidity.

I know it used to be a biatch going in the grain bin when the corn was drying to fix the leveler and that was about 130 with 100% humidity. Even when I was in high school and in shape I thought I was gonna die after an hour of that.

And giant spiders?? I'd rather have to deal with a hundred alligators.

Undisclosed location, Southwest Asia. Or at least that's what they tell us to say. But I am on a peninsula with water on both sides of the country. Whenever I was stationed at other parts, Kuwait, for example you are right. There was no humidity there. It could reach 130 and you really wouldn't know the difference. Here though, sheesh this is no joke.

Yeah Camel Spiders. Say hello to my little friend.

Those Mudderfuqrs scare the bejeepers outta me man...I hate spiders...everything else is cool...but spiders really get to me.

I am Navy and don't normally have to put up with all the BS you are going through (although we have our own BS)....but if we're close enough when going through the straights or Hormuz, we can get sandblasted pretty good. And the heat and humidity man....thats just horrible...many times I came close to passing out on the hanger top working on our Phalanx CIWS....and its a good 10 degrees cooler out in the gulf.

Funny thing though...after port in one place...cant remember...some sand covered hell hole...we spent the day resupplying in 55*C + temps (130*+)...and 90+ humidity....when we sailed out we could feel it getting cooler...it went down in humidity and temp by like 10% and 5 deg....but it felt so much cooler.
