To Z71 Decal Or Not To Z71 Decal

My buddy and I are having a debate, and I want to know what you guys think. He thinks it is okay to put a Z71 decal on the side of his bed even though he doesn't have a Z71 (there is currently no decal where trucks have 4x4 or Z71 decal). I think that's false advertisement. Which is it?

It's his truck and up to him, but my truck came with z71 stickers on it and I took them off for a nice clean look. It just depends, I don't like stickers and badges on my trucks.

That "chevy plate" that reads "Silverado HD" is neither a badge or a sticker so I don't know what you are talking about. IMO, it doesn't look good without it or I'd take it off.

If it doesnt have the RPO code then NO it should not be put on.

 

About 7 yrs ago I was in Ohio visiting family, we stopped at a walmart one afternoon and there was an early 90's 2wd S-10, guess what it had yep a Z71 offroad sticker. My mom even made a comment about it thats how bad it looked

Haha. I personally wouldn't do it. This reminds me of me and my buddy's argument. He has an 08 Z with a Fabtech suspension. I keep telling him it's not a Z71 anymore and to remove them, but he won't.

I'd say no. It's true that now you can buy them off the lot with a Z71 sticker when it's still just a two wheel drive. I think thats dumb. Now I can understand making a truck that looks exactly like a Z71 with a little higher suspension and bigger tires and it still a two-wheel drive...but leave the Z71 sticker off unless you have a 4x4!!!

I put the stock Z71 stickers on mine because I put the skid plates, heavy duty shocks and 265 tires on. So.....I figured it was a Z71 now?

Haha, that's hilarious. A guy I work with replaced the bow tie and a bunch of other decals on his truck with camo ones. Along with almost everything on the interior. I hunt, but I don't understand why everything you own needs to be covered in camo.
