As with anything else in life you purchase, the only person that can rightly tell you if you paid too much is you. If you are happy with what you got for what you paid, who cares what anyone else thinks. Especially when you ask for opinions from other countries (you don't list your location so who knows where you are from). I happen to be from Canada, what the US pays is no where near what we pay. Offer them what you want to pay, and just be happy with your decisions in life.

i dont know if you care about this, but in my opinion the XFE package is not worth it at all to me. it still only gets like 21 mpg highway and the biggest problem is the 3.08 gear. its going to be a dog with that gear.

No, it isn't...my heavier Avalanche 2wd is so equipped and with the 6-spd, not only is peppy with a lot of power, but gets awesome gas mileage. Soft at a point, but not at all what people who assume based on the ratio think it is--the transmission being the best help here. Glad mine is so equipped everyday.

And as mine "adjusted" to me after a week or so, it felt better. XFE is great, just drive to get the feel, and if you like...enjoy the gas mileage & otherwise.

$3k off? Isn't there more than that in rebates right now? You should buy the truck at invoice minus rebates at the MOST.

Yes there still the rebates. I then dealership to get to a set price before the rebates. That way theres no confusion on the pricing. I'll take the 5k and the 1k for owning a toyota. I also have a 1k gm loyalty cash that they sent in the mail. I have an appointment scheduled for Friday morning. I'm hoping they throw in a little more due to the Labor Day weekend.

So let me get this straight. The XFE is basically a LT that has a lower suspension and some lighter aluminum parts? Does the engine run with the AFM or does it always run on 8. If so i'd pay a little extra to have it always running on 8 and getting the same mpg. "One less thing to break in the future" is what my mechanic told me.

Really? That's a new one? Anybody else get this, and is it regional?

Just as long as you stay away from AFM, you'll be fine.

I just love the comments from the guys that don't even drive a comparable vehicle. :dunno:

The 6 speed in a 2wd will be fine with a 3.08 and AFM is nothing to be scared of.

People are constantly complaining about AFM. And it doesn't get that much better MPGs. If you have AFM and it's not tuned out, I feel sorry for you.

I would check for sure to make sure you can combine the toyota with the gm loyalty. I have usaa and they won't let you combine with Toyota rebate.

I just bought a 2010 Silverado and got the 5K rebate, 1K toyota owner and $750 USAA rebate. USAA has no restrictions on their website. The dealership might have been blowing smoke.
