Well I Did It

Just got home from the dealer and bought a 2010 Sierra Z71 All Terrain 4wd crew cab SLT. White with black leather.

Love the truck. Did pretty good on everything considering we traded two cars in on it. I pick it up tomorrow as they need to wash it and removed the shipping plastic from the interior. Had 9 miles on it before we test drove it.

All ready trying to angle for some OT so I can get a tune, side steps and bed liner.

First time in my life I have owned brand new car and the first time in 12 years I haven't had a Ford product.

Pretty excited, wish I had it but I need to think about sleep as 4am comes early.

Thanks for all the help folks, pictures to follow when I take delivery!

Congrats

I know what you mean about waiting.

I paid for my truck then as I was walking to go get it the salesman said oh your mudflaps and wheel liners are here so we can install them. The service guy drove off in my truck before I did :fume: I knew I was going to have to take it back to have it put on so it saved me a trip I guess but I wanted it then. 2 hrs later they were done (it was around lunch time so 2 hrs wasnt bad).

Congrats, nothing like a new truck to get your revs up! I know I went 20 yrs between new trucks. Still have the old one. Enjoy and do not tow right away and vary speed ...I did not use cruise control the first 500 miles....watch the speed as the rear end heats up (no pun intended) at first as gears settle in etc.....

Lets us see pics..

Congrats on the new truck. The notes come close together and regular by the way.......... Pics or ban (or at least in a timely manner, we are picture junkies)................ Nice choice on the white.... Water spot-not.......

If you have the 5.3 with AFM, I wish you luck with the lifters.

How many have a problem with the lifters? I have the 5.3 with AFM. So I want to know about when to start listening for lifter problems. I have 10,xxx miles.

BTW congrats on the new truck. I love mine.
