Question for you guys w/ HIDs. When you turn them on, do they

a.) flicker coming on

or do they

b.) come on bright and then warm up to normal color?

Answer is B... sorta, come on low then bright. No flickering at all.

sweet, I'll be looking for install pics by 5. :D which kit is that? How long they bulbs take to come up to full brightness after you fire the lamps?

Interesting, mine were black (DDM). They were also slimmer than those. They also had all plugs... not like the two black and blue wires.

Joe, they only take about 2-4 seconds before they are fully lit up.

Headlights in! (omg, the frustration of dropping one of the air box screws into an impossible place to reach inside the engine bay! ahhh!)

For those that have them, where did you mount the ballasts for fog lights? How 'water-resistant' are they? =/

I have DDM Apexcone Raptor Kit, 35w, 5000K

yours were different because you paid the extra money for the DDM slim ballast. he has the raptor ballast from DDM. both are fully digital

Thanks. I think something is wrong with mine then because they do flicker when coming on and I already have a 12v harness hooked up. I think I need to return mine and get a set from this DDM Tuning you guys keep refering to.

Mine fire up no problems (so far). Come on and reach full brightness in about 10 secs.

Again, anyone with HID fogs, where did you mount the ballasts???

mount your ballasts any where you can zip tie them to basically, its varies with each installer and vehicle. also, i tell every person who asks at work, theyre just as water proof as your engine, you wouldnt be dumping water in to your crank case now would ya? but you can spray them down all you want with a hose, and rain is no problem

Oh that explains it, I got the slim ones.

Moto- Are you using a relay harness? If so, are you running two relays for each kit? Have any problems not coming on sometimes?

Aimed them down a wall about 5" at 10 feet. Down center they look great.. only prob might be the extra spill of light to the left versus right side.

I just ordered a 5000k kit from ddm last night hope I like them. I've had them in previous vehicles but always paid a lot more for them. I also bought some hyper yellow bulbs for the fog lights. I'll get pics up when I get then and install them. Once you have a vehicle with HID's is hard not to get them again there so much better.

Looks good Caz! Are those pictures taken with both the low beams and fog lights on? Are you running any relays with your kit?

Carefull with aftermarket fog lamp bulbs. I just had a set of zenon's melt both fog lamp housings on my '99 GP.

I've never had an issue before this, with aftermarket bulbs causing damage, but now because of this I am super

leary of putting hid's in my truck.
