What Are You Towing?

No pics of the truck and camper yet, but it tows a TrailManor camper. What is a TrailManor you ask? See www.trailmanor.com. They're not the most popular, but are great for those who desire the benefits of a (hard side) travel trailer with the towing and storage convenience of a pop-up. They have a loyal following and hold their value well.

Towing a Kiefer Built 2-horse trailer (about 3,200# empty). I will say that the 4-Low range makes maneuvering this thing in the dirt/gravel a breeze. The barn is down a fairly straight dirt road that turns and goes up a moderate hill. I stop and throw it in 4-Low at the bottom of the hill, then creep up to the top. Once up behind the barn, using 4-Low and either 1st or 2nd gear gives me all kinds of control to park the trailer (don't even have to touch the gas). Originally, I had wanted to get the 2500HD Duramax for pulling our horses, but finances, advice on this and other forums, and the wife convinced me that this 1500 with the 6.2 and 3.42 rear end would be enough for our load - I'm beginning to think they were right. The more I use this truck, the happier I am.

I'm towing a '09 Rockwood 2106 Mini-Lite (21 footer). Tekonsha P3 brake controller & Husky WD hitch.

I'll have to get a pic of the Rockwood behind the '11 when I set up the WD hitch on the '11. The trailer had been "put away" for the winter before I got the new truck.

2009 Skeeter ZX-225 with 225 Yamaha HPDI motor, 4 batteries 50 gallons of gas.

And enough tackle to open my own shop..:):)

Tows GREAT, can't wait to put tow mirrors on. Towing across the country.

Not the best pictures, we had to unload in the farm lane and there was too many trees to get a side shot. I hauled an 89 chevy my father-in-law got from his wife's parents. As you can tell it was sitting in the barn not being used.

Hauled it on a 25 foot cornpro gooseneck.
