MountaineerTom Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 How would the driveshaft be set up in a vehicle like that? One big one, or 2 or 3 using carrier bearings?
nonstop Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 That is cool :thumb: but I'm sure it won't perform like a stocker
Greg Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 What a waste of a perfectly good vette. I saw one like this outside a client site in Detroit. There was a hip-hop station in the building and someone said it belonged to some performer there for an interview. A few weeks later, I saw a similarly butchered Expedition that belonged to some teen age rapper named Little Big something-or-other. (Don't remember, never heard of him.) Again, a big waste imho.
carguru Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 One of the specialty places has one of those in red. They also have a couple of Hummer H1 limos, a Lexus LX470 (Landcruiser) limo, GMC Yukon Denali XL, and a Diablo replica limo too.

It amazes me how some little brat like that kid is making millions, while I'm sittin' here trying to scrudge up some $$$ to buy me a vehicle. As for the stretch-'vette, I find the concept about as equally of a genious idea as building a bridge over a plain field.
GreenRado Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 How would the driveshaft be set up in a vehicle like that? One big one, or 2 or 3 using carrier bearings? Yeah, I wonder if he has launch shudder?! ???
LarryE Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 they are used for proms. weddings and etc, just like the stretched fords, hummers, and so on I see nothing wrong with them at all
gmcjoe Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 What a disgrace.... I think that black Vette Limo is here in Sterling Hts, Michigan. I'd love to own one, a few years back, they were getting $1,300 for 3 hours rental on a white one
GreenRado Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 Yes, gmcjoe, I think you're right - hadn't looked too close @ the plate, but I think it's the new one w/ the Mac on it. I think I've seen their Expedition too.
Kania2k1 Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 There are a couple Cadi limos here that are running 44's I think. The guy got an old school bus frame and put the cadi body on it. I think he gets like $500 for 2 hours.
