I'd go with a 6.0 swap and trans kit over a magnacharger though. If you made worth a damn power with the magna, you'd need to beef the tranny with it also. A 4l60 isn't much of a tranny, IMO.....unless it's beefed up.

id go with STS turbo with intercooler/port and polished heads/cam/long tubes/FLT tranny...it would be over 500hp to the back wheel for under 10 grand

then when you win a lottery or come across a lot of cash ( and you will need the money.)you can do what Truckin did and buy turn your 5.3 into a 383 stroker (6.3L).

you will need to beef up your tranny, driveline etc. then you can produce 671 HP and 658 lb-ft of torque

I would be embarrassed if I put together a stroker motor with aftermarket heads and a blower and only made that.

I am doing the 6.0 swap myself! Who programs the computers and how much does it cost! I am taking a 05 6.0 with 64,000 miles on it and putting it in my 99 silverado! I am also upgrading/ rebuilding the transmission with 4l60e kit from Monster transmission! So who does the programming/ flashing on the computer and how much does it cost! Thanks

Which 6.0? There are 2. I got the one from the SS

What the 383? You can do it with a newer 5.3 as well.
