hi there... i'm from sonora, mexico just down from az... anyway... i've always been a ford guy.... (never had more than 1 car at the same time) first i loved speed and had an '82 mustang then a '95 cougar then a 03' lincoln LS... then went for that "off-road" capability so i looked for a truck and bought an '01 f-150 lariat crew cab.. then a '00 grand cherokee hated it and traded it for a '98 expedition 4x4... but last month decided to get a silverado so i looked and looked and finally bought my first chevy... a 99 silverado ext cab, 4x4, with the 5.3L engine with 118k miles on it.... and i'm loving it... cant express how much i love to drive my truck... of course it aint stock! it came with k&n cold air intake... full exhaust system (headders, bigger tubes, flowmaster catback), im not sure if it has a 6" or an 8" RCD lift kit... came with 35x12.5r18 nitto mud grapplers from which 2 tires needed to be replaced and hated thos tires! they're just to hard and too damn loud! so bought 4 new Bf Goodrich Mud-Terrain 35x12.5r18... the guy that sold the truck to me told me it has different gear ratios and the computer reprogrammed... i can feel the truck shifting with more power than others and it revs up all the way to 6k rpm... and when cruising at 75mph in my speedometer im doing 2k rpm but my cell phone's gps (its a bb 9800 torch) tells me i'm really doing like 67mph so i guess it does have different gear ratios... anyways.. loving my truck.. lots of power in it... no other truck can beat me in a drag race including a friends 08 silverado crew cab ltz with 6" lift 35 tires full exhaust CAI and diablo chip my truck just humiliates him... love the 4x4 power on my truck.... just wanted to post some pics of my truck and tell my experience with it so far... any comments good or bad will be appreciated

original pics are bigger and good quality but dont know how to upload them.. it will only allow me 300kb for all attachments.. and each pic is like 1.7mb-2.00mb so made them smaller and very low quality to fit here.....

forgot to mention.. al ready had my sound system installed.... Alpine IDA-x100 headunit, 5ch Memphis Belle amp (75rms x 4 @ 4ohm, 5th ch 1100rms x 1 @ 1ohm), 1 set of Boston SL60, 1 set of boston RC620 (i think), Audiocontrol The Epicenter, one 12 inch memphis M1 subwoofer, and a 900amp yellow top optima gel battery (had to modified it to fit the battery)... installed the led dome light... and this weekend will be installing a Viper 5901 security and remote start system, just got it today and a professional will be installing it on the weekend.... and had my cats removed cause they were clogged and here we dont have any sort of emissions! so no one cares if you have cats or dont! thinking in getting new o2 front sensors and some o2 sims....

thanks guys.. and to the no cats sound question... before removing them it sounded great and loud! but after removing them it definitely sounds meaner! i love it! its so hard to drive my truck without flooring it in every stop light! as for the performance part.... i see a difference in the high rpms it feels less restricted... when launching it is pretty much the same truck i think.. maybe a slightly quicker but not much to say "wow what a difference"...
