Driver's Side Sag

Can anyone tell me what causes the driver's side of the truck to sit lower than the passenger's side? I have an '02 Z71 and it's been like that since I got it. Mine is approximately 1" different between the sides. I see it on many other GM trucks and wondered if anyone here has the answer/fix for it. BTW, I am 180lbs, but it was like this when I bought it in '03.

I tried to search for this topic, but didn't find anything.

Thanks,

I think a lot of trucks sit that way if you look close, not sure why. If it bugs you take it to the shop and have them level the front end and do an alignment. They should be able to get it pretty close by adjusting the torsion bars.

Brad...Sounds like you need to put on a few pounds. :smash:

Mine is also aproxx 3/4" lower on the driver side, but I just got her so I don't know the history.

i remember reading somewhere on here the gas tank in some of the trucks isnt perfectly centered in the back, causing more weight on that side. IDK maybe i read it wrong

That's right. Its not even close to center. Its on the drivers side left of the driveshaft.

You can try and fix the "lean" by adjusting your torsion bar on the lower side to raise it some :jester:

A big woman riding shotgun will even it out. And you'll have someone to talk to besides the dog. On second thought, nevermind.
