Seat Protector

Sooo...Yeah.

Baby isn't long for the womb, and should be here soon.

What are you folks using to protect your rear seats from a) puke, pee and b) the car seat itself, digging into the leather?

Keep in mind that I have an Avalanche, so the rear seat is basically a 60/40 split and the top/bottom portions of the seat aren't attached to each other...

Any input here?

I have a pad that goes on the seat and up the back also, it has a lip on it to catch anything that spills. Keeps the car seat from digging into the leather too. Paid like $30, well worth it. I'll see what brand it is when I go out this morning.

We have always just used a huge beach towel.

Beach towels aren't good enough for my baby's discriminating ass.

Or...you know...First baby=wife on a mission for perfection in all things baby-accessory. :P

Don't know about the kid thing, but I have Grant Sport Sheat Shields that I throw over my front seats when doing dirty work. I know they make them for bench seats too.

Cheap version: table cloth.

Expensive version: neoprene.

Both are waterproof, but one looks like it's supposed to be there. My wife always used table cloths, but my truck has the neoprene. (Edit: wife is a stay-at-home mom, so she always feels the need to get by as cheaply as she can on stuff like this. Not important to her. Gotta love her for that!)

I have the gm seat covers and one of those 1 car seat savers that goes under the car seat. I highly recommend one of those.

Also at first they dont seem to get the seats messy its when they start eating and drinking in the car where stuff goes everywhere. Case in point see the photos. I am still cleaning out cheerios :D

I cant believe my life has come to surfing the net on babiesrus  Man what a year+ has changed. Good luck!

Couple of years ago, I was living large and single. Now I'm almost 39 and asking a forum about drop-cloths for a baby.

I'm pretty sure I have that Eddie Bauer one sitting in that stack of shit she got at the baby shower. Well, I say "stack" but it's more of a mountain of crap that is taking up the entire dining room AND the "breakfast nook".
