actually I meant "bounce, sway, steering. etc" Powerwise, when you're pulling over 10,000lbs it's a lead anchor no matter what your pulling with IMO. What I meant was it doesn't get blown around or bossed around curves as much as I expected coming from a 2500HD. It's actually pretty stiff in the rear.

Thanks for the feedback, and for the videos. Very informative to watch. The shifts on the 6-spd are impressive, and it sounds good. I'm not sure how much difference there is between the NHT and standard off-road or towing suspensions, but I noticed a lot more stiffness and stability when I moved from my old 99 GM 1500 to the 08. From what I've read, the NHT gets a little stiffer rear spring pack... but I don't know for sure.

The 2nd video is very interesting, the way it shifts at partial throttle. Those shifts are post BB-tune, if I understood correctly?

All the videos are WITH the Blackbear daily driving tune.

Yes the NHT has heavier springs. Payload goes from 1,730 to 1,930 lbs on CC's

I really wanna get LT headers for my truck, but my dad insists that I' m being stupid and that I'll "never get it sealed right". Did you notice an increase in gas mileage? Was it hard getting the headers in? Do you have a true dual?

Your truck looks pretty good and seems very fast compared to mine. Thanks for posting up videos for reference.

Thats what the 6.2L can do!

big difference between the 6.2 and 5.3 thats for sure.

The 6L80/3.73 combo makes a lot of difference for 0-60 too (maybe 10% faster?). Not from ~60 to 100 though--that's the sweet spot for 2nd on the 4-spd.

Just based on his video he is ~1.5 seconds quicker to 60 than mine (5.3/6l80/3.42), then about 2 seconds quicker to 70, by the time he hit 90, he is about 4 seconds ahead. That is a lot.

Next on my list of things to buy. I'm glad you kept your stock exhaust it does flow well no need to waste money on one. Thanks for all the info and making me spend more money. :dunno: Do you have the parts numbers?

Looks good, thanks for the write up. :dunno:

Not a fan of headers on my daily drivers just due to the damage from all the salt in the winter but hey, if you

can get away with it, more power to ya.

Saw your videos, that thing is a beast! Thanks.

BTW, are you familiar with Lincoln Hardwood and Tool in Lincoln? I used to order tools from them.

That sounds about right. ~20% more torque/power (stock #s) plus 10% more gear.

Here's the intake and vendor I bought from:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...D1&viewitem=

I'd start there for $250

If you order headers, call ARH directly and see what they can door for an "paid for right now, out the door/shipped today," price. They did mine for $1450. Saved me some green, glad I called.

The part from ARH was GMT0734WC. It says 2007-2009 GM truck but it fit my 2010 like a glove. THat's the 1 3/4 primarys with Cats.

Here's one more video, watch how she pulls from 90-110 impressive for a big heavy truck.

I let off at 110 expecting the limiter was in there somewhere, but now that I think of it, the truck didn't cut. I wonder if blackbear took that out....hmmm maybe I'll get the GPS out and find a lonely stretch and see what the top end is. I'm already scared. and I have a motorcycle that I've done 170mph on....

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
