my servies 4x4 light comes on and all the lights on the 4x4 control panel is out and then i got no 3 and 4 gear i also just got the transmission rebuilt 30 days ago was wondering what the problem would be

sounds like they did a shit job on your trans...or you got something electrical going on...get codes

Not a technician but 3-4 clutch failure is a common failure for these transmissions. Truck I bought in November lost 3-4 within a week, then I found out the dealer had replaced 3-4 clutches in August and November. After some hassle I got them to put a reman in with warranty.

 

On another vehicle I tried the local rebuild route too. With the 4L60E I see two choices, the GM reman with excellent warranty or a full on performance build from a known good shop like Rossler, ProBuilt or FLT. The middle of the road stuff is more miss than hit.

 

At this point you are stuck dealing with whomever did the rebuild and hopefully they treat you right.

the tranny shop says its the shift motor that contols the transfer case it was in 4 hi when it happen i dont know if its true or not but i got 1 year warranty on it so they might try to make it sound thats the problem and said that it would cost 900 dollars for that part

Sounds like the guy that rebuilt it,... needs to do it again.

Yeah .... you can get an ENTIRE transfer case for half that, used.

i think he had the tranny done and 30 days later his t case has a code and some douche diag'd an entire truck to fix it lol

 

get the code and reply what it is ,

 

if it is po327 you need a little sensor put in the encoder motor assembly .....

 

reply with the code David

it was the transfer case actuator it was frozen from snow and slush they silicon it so it wont happen again it cost me 112 dollars also they said i should go to gm to reset the code do you know if i got to do this .
