Brand new to the forum, and wanted to post an introduction. Just brought home my new-to-me 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 earlier today. After driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution for the last 4 years, I decided it was time to do a trade-in and go back to being a truck owner. This forum appears to be a great resource, considering I've already picked up some info regarding the driveline clunk issue. Looks like I'll be buying some marine grease later today!

Thanks everyone! I will try to get some pics up once I do a thorough clean and wax job.

One thing I have noticed so far is the door moldings seem to be loose and or slightly peeling away from the door at the ends on the passenger side. Should I try to replace these or just remove them? Is there a good way to re-attach them?

Also, I lubed up the slip yoke earlier with some Green Grease. After a short test drive, the clunk seems to have gone away for now. So happy that was an easy fix. Oddly enough, I had a '98 Silverado K1500 five or six years ago that may have had the same issue, but I never knew what was causing the clunk until now.
