Ya me too.

 

I wasn't even born when this commercial came out lol.

I may have been 10 or so.

Where are all the old timers who would of seen that commercial.

 

 

I wonder if that's a Ford body on a GMC? :sigh:

That would be funny if it was.

I remember that..

 

weren't the GMC and the Dodge just gutted frames and bodies? no motors/driveline and no interior..

 

I don't see how the Ford F250 (1.5 ton I beleive) with a 1500 pound rated bed capacity can haul a 6000 pound Chevy truck without serious frame, suspension, and chasis upgrades or serious damage..

When I worked for Ford we had a regional meeting and they showed the blooper reel of these commercials. The trucks being piggy backed were just shells. and when Ford dropped a Ranger out of a C110 the chute did not open hilarous stuff though. As with all commercials the old axiom "sell the sizzle, not the steak" comes to mind.
