First off, i've seen rash of people making very objectional posts and comments.  Some of the stuff should be simple to understand why we don't want it here, but i guess its not.

I really hate to make this post, but i feel that i have to.

#1. Please re-read this. These are the terms that your accepted when you registered!

Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB.

Commercial Postings: GM-Trucks.com  is able to remain free to members only through the support of advertisers and supporting vendors and dealers. We would not have them supporting the site for long if we were to allow commercial postings by anyone else in the forums. For this reason we have instated a no commercial postings policy. The only exceptions, of course, are for the supporting vendors and dealers that keep the site free.

If you receive products for free or at a special discount from a vendor you must disclose that information when you make posts regarding that product. Any other type of vested interest that could cause you to potentially have a biased opinion must be disclosed.

We also ask that you follow the guidelines below

You may not post links to products or 'deals' offered by non-supporting vendors.

You may not have commerical links in your posts or signature to non-supporting vendor sites.

You may not post about cars you've seen for sale on dealer lots or products and prices that you've seen at commercial stores. One reason for this is that it's easy for commercial interests to register a name and act as if they are not associated with the business that they "advertise".

Feel free to discuss particular products and even to ask for advice on where to get it at the best price. If you read a post like this and want to share a non-supporting vendor's offering with the person placing the post you can do so by e-mail. This is also true of listings for cars for sale.

Any posts or links directing someone to a non-supporting vendor/dealer will be deleted without warning. This can also be grounds for removal of posting rights.

GM-Trucks.com has volunteer members that coordinate local events. These events are not official GM-Trucks.com events. GM-Trucks.com  is not responsible for these events and is not liable for any mishaps that may occur.

Banned Members: If you have been banned by GM-Trucks.com and attempt to register again using some means to get around the ban, such as using another email address, you agree to a 5000 dollar reinstatement fee. By clicking on agree below you agree to this fee. You also agree that any disputes will be resolved in New Hampshire courts.

Ok with that out of the way..

What makes a post automatically targeted to be deleted or edited?

1. Porn- Links to or pictures of

2. Harassing other members- Take derogatory comments to email!

3. Comments about race or religious beliefs that are derogatory.

4. Comments that are not true, or misleading.

5. Continued posting of a website that is either non productive or purely intended for self promotion (IE- Piston Slap website)

We don't want to be a-holes, but we want to keep the family and MATURE enviroment of GM-TC preserved!  :(

What about the Bash forum??

This is the one section of the forum where we allow bashing of other BRANDS-COMPANIES-AND PRODUCTS.  Not persons or other forum members, or any of the above!  :flag:

This thread is open for your comments, and suggestions.  :flag:

4. Comments that are not true, or misleading.

I agree totally with all the stipulations, BUT I have a question about the one I just quoted above.....

What if the person posting the Un-true/false information doesn't know that it's false or un-true? (like a rumor or something)

I hope that you've let the offending party know, that they've stepped out of line, through e-mail, or however.

If I was the offender, don't hold back, I've got broad sholders.

and need (according to the wife) straighting out every once in a while.

Ok, Me, Larry, and Zane are sorry for all that stuff we said last night, we let our minds get a little out of hand.

Here at GM-TC, Personal matters SHOULD be handled through PMs, and we're sorry that we "broke our own rule" there.

But I can tell you, it WON'T be happening again.  :D
