Oil filters

I use K&N filters on my truck.  Used to pay $9 each in alaska, no tax.  I moved to VA they want $15 plus tax and they have to special order them, ouch.  Does anyone make a filter that filters down to 10 or less micron for under 10 bucks that I can pick up at most auto parts stores?

In my opinion Wix makes the best filter out there.  In fact the parts guy at my local dealership suggested using Wix instead of the Delco filter.  He also stated to avoid Fram like the plague.  Wix has the anti-drain back feature which is important on these engines.   Check out their website for more specs and dealers.  A quick read says it's a 25 micron filter.   That's pretty damned good.

I believe Wix actually makes Napa filters...  Maybe someone else can confirm that.  But Napa auto parts stores are pretty prevelant.

I found a place here in town that sells Wix filters.  Alot cheaper than they want for K&N here, only $7.  I'm going to give them a try..
