Tpms How Do Set Which Tire Is Where?

When I was rotating the tires myself I knew the front and back would not b right on the TPMS. A local shop used some kind of wireless tool to set them one time but I didn't get a good look at it. Just got new tires and while playing with the airpressure I noticed they are all mixed up. How do I get the DIC to indicate the right position on the tires?

its in your manual. Basically you do a key fob, brake (hand /foot) action. then the horn will beep 2 times and then you have 2 min to complete the required actions. You have to start at the drivers front and let air out of the tire until horn beeps (10 sec or so) then go to pass front, then pass rear and last drivers rear doing the same thing. When you finish the drivers rear the horn will beep 2 times again to indicate you are done.

At the shop, the tool they used was to "wakeup" a new sleeping TPMS transmitter to start issuing the pressure to the sensor (they are shipped sleeping to save the battery).

Pretty straight forward. Its in the manual in the tire section. You have to do it every time you rotate.

I've never got the manual way (letting air out method) to work. I took mine to my independent shop and they do it for me. You might want to buy the tool if you don't have a shop that will do it for free or next to free. It's not a wakeup tool either. It syncs the sensor one at a time with the vehicle

Under "My Controls" near the top right and then "edit signature" or "edit avatar" depending on where you want your pic.

its about 2-3 psi nothing major, just enough for it to register the change. doing it yourself will save the bucks. ill go get my manual and post the instructions in a 30 min

1. set parking brake

2. turn ignition to on/run but dont start

3. press fob lock and unlock button at the same time for 5 sec until horn sounds twice

4. DIC should say "tire learning active" you now have 2 min before the "bomb" goes off

5. head out to drivers front and start letting air out (about 2-5 sec) until horn sounds once

6. then to pass front like above, then pass rear, then drivers rear where the horn should sound 2 times indicating learning complete

Glad you got the air let out method to work. When I tried I couldn't get it to work. When necessary, maybe I'll give it another shot.
