2010 Silverado Door Hinge Rust

Noticed today as I got out of my truck that the door hinges are already starting to rust. This truck just turned over 10,000 miles and is garage kept. Would like to post pictures but camera does not work, need to get a new one. Anybody experience this or know how to prevent it? My 2001 Silverado did not do this and was kept outside all year round.

i grease mine with helps prevent rust.

 

but yes - where the paint wears off i see some rust - more on the door spring than the hinge from my recollection. i'll have to go look tonight....

Maybe using some decent paint on them would be of help? From the factory that is.
