2005 Chevy Suburban HVAC failure

I have a 2005 Chevy Suburban on which the HVAC went wacko about a year ago. Error codes BO263, BO408, BO414 & BO229. Took it to the dealer and had it repaired to the tune of almost $1,000 - "New actuators (89018374 & 89018365) and rerouting and bypassing of electrical junction box" per dealer's work description. Now less than a year later it's gone wacko again, error codes BO299, BO408, BO414. Dealer told wife "other acuator went bad" and repaired, "left actuator bad, removed & replaced left actuator (same PN, 89018365) and re-prog" to the tune of another $450. How many actuators does this system have with the same PN? Does this sound legit or am I getting screwed by my dealer?

It would depend on if you have auto or manual a/c and whether it is dual zone or single zone. For dual zone their is a left side temp actuator, a right side temp actuator and a mode actuator. Both temperature actuators are the same part number and the mode actuator is a different part number. The right side temperature actuator is the big money repair as labor time is somewhere around 7-8 hours. The left side is much less expensive. It sounds legit to me. Sounds like the first time they replaced the right side temperature actuator and mode actuator. The right side as mentioned previously is behind the dash and is labor intensive hence the large charge the first time.
